The TCOM Senior Project is the capstone and final opportunity to assess the telecom program as a well-rounded, four-year degree. The TCM Deans and Faculty from the DeVry Institutes collectively developed a five-area assessment for the TCM program. Senior projects provide an assessment gound for these objectives. Program assessment is a challenge; espcially, with a course that has minimal in-person student-to-professor contact. To meet this challenge and provide the best ground for program assessment, students are provided a course structure with guidance to design and perfom a real-world project that demands self-discipline, and encourages learning through both achievement and adversity.
The objectives that DeVry graduates should be able to demonstrate are as follows.
Objective #1: Develop a network solution that is matched to the needs of the business.
Objective #2: Manage technologies to support business objectives.
Objective #3: Communicate effectively
Objective #4: Demonstrate Project Management Skills.
Objective #5: Apply research and problem-solving skills
