Formal Presentation

Introduction

The formal presentation will be attended by all members of the project team, the Client, Senior Project Mentor, Senior Project Coordinator, and others.

• Project team members are required to dress and conduct themselve in a business like manner. Business casual dress is the minimal acceptable standard. Suits are not required, but a professional appearance is expected to be uniform among the team.

• The team will provide each person of the review board (TBA) a copy of the Client Request, Project Description, all Learning Contracts and any other material necessary for the presentation.

During the persentation, questions may be asked concerning material presented. The team should work together to respond to questions at that time. Each student is expected to contribute equally to the actual presentation.

After the presentation, individual team members will be interviewed concerning their learning contract and contribution in the project. This will serve as the final oral exam and will contribute to each individual student's course grade. Students are expected to have general knowledge of all aspects of their team project in addition to specific detailed knowledge related to their learning contracts.

Presentation Format

Your presentation is required to be professional in all aspects. Apparent impromptu presentation will not be acceptable. You will use multi-media equipment to present your project.

From the beginning time format example below, rehearse your presentation. A four-person team podium-style presention should take 50 minutes. Larger teams will require a two-hour block. Fifteen minutes must be left for questions. Click here for example worksheet with times estimates. Client-site presentations may vary in format, but will still be just as structured.

• PM introduces himself, the project and team.

• PM introduces the Project Description, objectives, and who was responsible for each objective.
• PM introduces next speaker and swaps.
  • Speaker presents main learning contract objectives, involvement and accomplishment in the project.
